My top 4 reasons why I think the holidays are a great time to sell!
#1 Competition is low
Many homes typically go off the market during this time. However, this is a huge opportunity for you! Fewer homes on the market means less competition for those buyers that are shopping and more money for you.
Even if buyers are not visiting open houses every weekend during the holidays, they are absolutely still using the internet to search for properties. If you are working with a savvy agent, they can use this opportunity to make your house truly stand out online.
#2 Buyers are motivated
It is a fact that buyers tend to be more emotionally driven during the holidays and will typically spend more money on getting your price. Let the impulse shopping work on your favor! Think about this, the holidays are obviously a busy time of year for all however anyone who is actively searching for properties during this time is definitely a highly motivated buyer.

#3 Your home looks great!
Homes definitely sparkle during the holidays which makes it the perfect time to show off your home. Holiday decor (tastefully done) can make the property warm and inviting without you having to spend a lot.

#4 It’s easier to move
Many movers are booked solid during the fall and spring months which can even cause delays in closings. During the holidays, it is easier to secure an appointment for your moving service even with short notice. Movers will have many openings which means you can usually score an even better deal than when booked solid!
